India Post Recruitment / 7th Remuneration Commission: Are you looking for a job opportunity? If so, then we have good news for you. Candidates (Class 10 pass) can apply for the positions of staff car driver (ordinary grade) and get a salary according to the 7th salary commission. A total of 28 vacancies for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 vacancy years will be filled at the Principal Manager’s Office, Mail Motor Services, Kolkata 700015 by delegation/absorption from the Department of Posts, failing that by delegation/absorption from other Ministries/ Departments or Deputation/Re-employment of armed forces personnel. Eligibility criteria:

Deputation/Absorption of Postal Department Employees: Among regular Dispatch Rider (Group C) and Group C employees at level 1 of the compensation matrix according to the 7th CPC of the Postal Department who possess a valid driver’s license for light and heavy motor vehicle based on a trade test / driving test to assess the ability to drive a light and heavy motor vehicle.

Other Central Government Departments and Armed Forces Personnel: Civil servants regularly occupying the post of Expedition Runner or regular Group C employees at level 1 of the pay matrix according to the 7th CPC who meet the necessary qualifications prescribed as follows :

(a) Possession of a valid driver’s license for light and heavy motor vehicles;

(b) Knowledge of engine mechanism (candidate must be able to remove minor vehicle faults); (c) Experience driving light and heavy motor vehicles for at least three years;

(d) Pass the 10th standard from a recognized board or institute.

For veterans: Armed forces personnel due to retire or transfer to the reserve within one year and having the prescribed experience and qualifications are also taken into account. These people would be granted deputy mandates until the date on which they are to be released from the armed forces; thereafter, they can be prosecuted by rehiring.

  1. Regulation of remuneration and other conditions of deputation:

Level 2 of the remuneration matrix according to 7th CPC (Rs. 19900- 63200/-). The salary will be regulated according to the rules.

3. Period of deputation:

The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-executive position occupied immediately before this appointment in the same or in another central government department, shall normally not exceed 03 (three) years.

Required documents:

(a) Certificate of Integrity

(b) List of major/minor penalties imposed, if any, on the official in the past 10 years; (if no penalty was imposed, a “NIL” certificate must be attached)

(c) Vigilance Authorization Certificate.

(d) Certified true copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years (2015-16 to 2019-20) (attested on each page by a registered agent, if applicable)
