Nairobi, Kenya, April 1 – A 51-year-old man suspected of desecrating a 17-year-old minor has been arrested in Sotik sub-county in Bomet.

The suspect, a senior magistrate at Kehancha Courthouse in Migori County, was apprehended early Friday morning after a manager at Sharies Bar and Restaurant in Kaplong alerted police.

The suspect had booked a room at the establishment and left said room keys at the counter as he continued to have drinks at the bar, according to police reports.

However, the suspect raised the alarm after he was seen walking into the room accompanied by a teenage girl.

“Upon arrival, police found the suspect, James Ongondo Kisii, 51, in his Lexus brand Reg No KCN 77R motor vehicle in the parking lot with a 17-year-old Luo girl,” reads a police report seen by Capital FM News. .

Police say the scene was revisited and a semen-stained bed sheet and tissue paper were recovered from said room.

They said the minor was classified as a child in need of care and protection.
