Islamabad Police Inspector General Dr Akbar Nasir Khan announced on Monday that officers aged 17 and above would donate two days pay to help flood victims.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – Aug 29, 2022): Inspector General of Islamabad Police Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan announced on Monday that officers of rank 17 and above will donate two days pay to help flood victims.
The decision was taken in line with directives from Federal Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan, to support thousands of individuals and families affected by the recent flash floods.
Similarly, staff in grades 1 to 16 would also contribute their day’s pay in aid to help people in flood-affected areas, according to a press release.
The IGP said the police in the capital of Islamabad stood with the families of the flood victims in this hour of mourning.
The capital’s police, he said, have also set up a rescue camp at Rescue 15 in this regard.
He called on philanthropists to come forward and participate in this noble cause through charity and the provision of relief items.
